Our Graduate Program, 'Foundations', has been uniquely designed to bridge the gap between formal education and the workforce, establishing a clear and supportive path for your professional development and long-term success at BMD. Throughout the program you will develop foundational career skills in problem solving, critical thinking, innovation and team building.

BMD graduates are offered a career path with adequate support systems in place to encourage growth and individual contributions. We offer practical exposure to the construction industry, performance plans designed for growth, and access to business leaders for mentoring.

What to expect:

Initially joining our Sydney team working on exciting infrastructure tenders, you'll then form part of our tight-knit delivery team to help deliver major infrastructure projects in regional areas across New South Wales on a rosters or locally to the greater Sydney area.

Our industry-leading Graduate Program is designed to set you up for a long and successful career - by building a solid foundation. Here's what to expect:

  • kick off with a three-day all expenses paid conference on the Gold Coast with your peers
  • engage in structured learning through three tailored modules on topics designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills
  • experience exciting hands-on and in person learning every six months to build relationships and network with your peers from across the country
  • receive mentoring from BMD's Board of Directors, executive management team and emerging leaders to build your leadership qualities and help you progress your career

Who we're looking for:

As a Graduate Environmental Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our project teams, to contribute to the implementation of BMD's environmental management systems. You will be responsible for promoting compliance and excellence in all environmental obligations and positively influencing project stakeholders to achieve best for project environmental outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

  • tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering

  • strong decision-making and communication skills, creative thinking and the drive to experience real hands-on work in the field

  • resilience, enthusiasm and a passion for teamwork to achieve positive outcomes in a deadline driven environment
