About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing practice at GPG Dental in Eight Mile Plains, QLD. As a full-time Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our passionate and dedicated dental team, providing essential support to our dentists and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and providing other support as needed
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Greeting patients, managing patient records, and scheduling appointments
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and providing post-treatment instructions
  • Performing basic laboratory tasks, such as taking impressions and pouring models
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked dental operatory

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a general dental practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding patient care
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • A friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in using dental software and electronic record keeping
