Position type & pay

• Independent contractor — must hold a valid ABN and invoice for work.
• Base rate: $27.00 per hour (increases available as you demonstrate skill, reliability and client satisfaction).
• Daytime shifts; punctuality is essential.
• Training for Airbnb procedures provided where required.

What you'll do

• Deliver professional cleans across: residential homes, Airbnb turnovers, end‑of‑lease cleans, commercial offices, post‑construction finishes, move‑ins/move‑outs, and one‑off deep cleans.
• Follow checklists and site‑specific instructions to achieve client standards.
• Accurately log hours, materials used, and report damages or client issues.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team coordinators.
• Provide consistently high quality work and maintain a tidy, trustworthy presence on site.

What we're looking for

• Strong practical problem‑solving, good judgement and attention to detail (we screen with short situational questions).
• Owns cleaning equipment for all job types (vacuum, mop, buckets, chemicals, scrubbers, PPE, scrapers, etc.). NOTE: for some Airbnb jobs we may supply specific items — confirm per job.
• Own vehicle and valid driver's licence.
• Current police check (required). If you don't have one yet, you must obtain it before starting.
• Valid ABN and ability to invoice as a contractor.
• Professional level English (spoken) to follow instructions and communicate with clients.
• Reliable, punctual and mainly available during daytime hours.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and follow checklists.
• Past experience across multiple cleaning types more than 1 year (Airbnb, end‑of‑lease and post‑construction a plus).

Preferred (not compulsory):

• Experience making beds to hotel/airbnb standard (we can train if needed).

Job Type: Subcontract

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week

Application Question(s):

• During and End Of Lease cleaning, you run out of oven spray while cleaning an oven and you're only 40% finished. What do you do?
• While cleaning an Airbnb you find a bed that looks almost untouched but shows slight use. Do you change the sheets or leave them? Explain your reasoning.
• You arrive at an Airbnb and the laundry delivery hasn't arrived and there are no spare sheets on site. What do you do?
• You find a fresh large stain on a client's carpet that wasn't listed. What immediate steps do you take and how do you report it?
• What is cross‑contamination in cleaning and how do you avoid it?
• What order should you clean a room (high→low, dry→wet etc.) and why?
• A client phones mid‑job complaining an item wasn't cleaned to their standard. How do you respond on the spot, and what follow‑up do you offer?

Experience:

• Any type of cleaning: 1 year (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• ABN (Required)
• Current police check (or will obtain before starting) (Required)
• Driver's licence and vehicle (must have) (Required)
• Own cleaning equipment (Preferred)
