Heavy Diesel Fitter required for ongoing work at mine sites located in North West QLD. Local based, DIDO Mount Isa or FIFO Townsville/ Carins/ Brisbane. Generous hourly rate on offer for suitably qualified and diversely experienced candidates.

About Green's Diesel Service:

We are a business based in Cloncurry, Queensland specialising in heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance from general site service to full demobe/remobe of equipment and everything in between. We are looking to expand our already dynamic team of fitters as our business grows.

About the role:

This position will be for ongoing work at mine sites in North West QLD, working on surface and underground mining equipment. Flights and accommodation from either Townsville, Carins or Brisbane are potentially offered, accommodation provided for DIDO Mount Isa or you can choose to live and work locally in Cloncurry. Locals are encouraged to apply. Hourly rate is depending on your experience and qualifications. Rates are negotiable for the right person.

What we require from you:

  • Vocational trade qualification
  • Current open driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a mine site medical including drug and alcohol screening
  • Flexibility to work rostered and shift work with a vary of rosters available (8/6, 7/7 days and 2/1, 2/2 weeks roster alternating day/night shift, additional shifts may be required)
  • Experience with Caterpillar and Sandvik equipment advantageous
  • Carry out diagnostics and repairs across a variety of plant and agricultural equipment in addition to heavy on road vehicles and willingness to learn.

  • Comply with OH&S requirements.

  • Maintain service records and job accountability.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Exposure to manufacturing and designing hydraulics hoses and hydraulics systems. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Time Management and organisational skills.
  • Motivated, resourceful and hard-working attitude
