About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the Control Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, programming, and optimisation of control systems across power generation, distribution, and integrated energy infrastructure projects.

This role focuses on delivering high-performing, reliable, and efficient control solutions that seamlessly integrate with complex electrical and mechanical systems. It involves working across the full project lifecycle, from design and implementation through to testing, commissioning, and performance optimisation.

  • Design, program, and implement control systems for renewable energy and power infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with functional specifications and safety requirements.
  • Develop control logic and automation strategies to regulate, monitor, and manage system behaviour.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate control systems into broader plant architecture and electrical design.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including control philosophies, I/O lists, interface protocols, and commissioning plans.
  • Liaise with SCADA vendors, automation integrators, and field contractors to support system implementation and troubleshooting

About You

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline;
  • At least 5 of experience working within the power generation and/or industrial control sector;
  • Understanding of the renewable energy landscape, including solar, wind, hydro, and emerging technologies;
  • In-depth knowledge of Control Systems, SCADA, network architecture, system automation, and system integration;
  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and policy environments in Australia and relevant global markets;
