Are you a passionate cook or qualified chef who loves creating nutritious meals for children? The Creek Early Learning is seeking a dedicated Chef / Experienced Cook to join our team on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

About the Role

As our centre cook, you will play an important role in the health and wellbeing of our children by providing fresh, balanced, and allergy-aware meals daily. You'll work in a supportive and values-driven environment where your contribution is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years
  • Cater for individual dietary needs, allergies, and cultural requirements
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Order and manage stock effectively while working to a budget
  • Collaborate with educators and families around children's dietary needs
  • Maintain a warm, welcoming, and organized kitchen environment
  • Work with children to facilitate healthy eating programs in classrooms
About You
  • Previous experience in a childcare or similar kitchen environment
  • Must have a valid WWCC (Blue card) or willing to obtain before commencing
  • Certificate in commercial cookery or hospitality highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of children's dietary needs and allergens
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to plan menus and cook to a budget
  • Organized, efficient, and passionate about children's nutrition
