Role Overview
The Forklift Driver provides safe and efficient loading and unloading of containers from trucks, ensure containers are stacked to yard requirements and provides efficient and accurate clerical support to Depot operational functions, with a view to enhancing Depot productivity and efficiency on an ongoing basis.

This role is permanent part-time role with a guarantee of 22.8 hours per week. Additional hours are often available. Standard work hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of containers from trucks and ITV's using correct procedures and equipment;
• Container movements as required;
• Ensure all containers are stacked as per current yard requirements;
• Process work flows in a timely, efficient and accurate manner;
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of transactions as required;
• Ensure familiarity with all appropriate government regulations and compliance;
• Promote positive relationships with internal and external customers, providers and contractors; and
• Promote and follow safe work practises at all times.

About You
Your skills and experience will include;

• Current High Risk Work Forklift Licence and experience driving heavy forklifts;
• Experience in the container industry or a similar role is highly regarded;
• Experience with container handling on and off road trucks;
• High level of confidence in the use of computers and various programs such as Windows, Word, Excel, email, web and use of internal Operating systems;
• Excellent communication and comprehension skills required for communicating with stakeholders;
• High level of initiative for identifying and independently acting on problems as they arise; and
• Ability to work constructively in a team environment.
