We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Business Analyst to join our construction industry client in Melbourne for a 6-month engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements, analyse business needs, and support the implementation of key infrastructure projects. These include VMware environments, SD-WAN deployment, Storage Area Network (SAN) implementation, and adoption of next-generation data backup technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This BA will be assisting the PM with three projects:  SD-WAN implementation, Storage Area Network implementation, and new data backup technologies implementation.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse infrastructure requirements.
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of SD-WAN and SAN implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to capture technical and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with infrastructure engineers on VMware platform enhancements and configurations.
  • Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing modern data backup and recovery solutions.
  • Develop process documentation, solution design notes, and business process flows.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement in infrastructure initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new solutions into BAU operations.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of VMware infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in SD-WAN implementation projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in Storage Area Network (SAN) deployment.
  • Familiarity with emerging data backup and recovery technologies.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical engineers, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the construction industry (desirable but not essential).

  • Location: Melbourne, 3-4 days office/ week
