About the Role
Due to growth within the contract, Ventia's EAS (Emergency Alerting System) are in need of a Field Technician specialising in RF and paging transmission networks in support of Victoria's Emergency Services agencies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure works (preventative and reactive) are performed in accordance with relevant work instructions, customer and client SLAs and liaison with 3rd parties as necessary.
- Assist in technical escalations as required with sub-contractors and other team members.
- Assist and provide input into the development of all documentation required to perform field related activities.
- Assist with the management and ordering of equipment and materials.
- Ability to travel for periods of time as and when required, sometimes remote areas and independently.
- Participate in an on-call roster on a rotational basis.
- Maintain all provided equipment and plant in accordance with manufacturer and company policies
- Site visits with client or project personnel as required.
- Undertake coverage testing (Drive Testing) and processing of data results into defined reports.
- Undertake indoor coverage testing at client facilities and production of reports as required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a background working in emergency environment networks with experience installing and maintaining VHF/UHF/P25 radio / paging or microwave networks with an RF awareness certification.
You will also possess:
- Valid Drivers licence
- Trailer/ Towing VOC
- A trade / certification in Telecommunications or similar (Desirable)
- White Card
- Working at Heights (Desirable)
- Ability to hold and maintain a National Police check
