
Sales Consultant

Sales Executive is responsible for securing orders for the Company's products and services.
Sales Executive supports the sales department by receiving customer enquiries, reviewing them and interpreting them accurately whilst preparing a well-defined quotation that meets the customers technical requirements and commercially attractive to the customer while meeting required margins and in conclusion obtaining customer feedback.
Duties:
· Assist in generating forecast of sales to end-users and distributors.
· Liaise effectively with sub-suppliers for technical and commercial information and evaluate competently the received information as part of the proposal and bid process to the client.
· Liaise competently, confidently, and promptly with all clients, developing a good relationship and attend to their requirements or requests efficiently and diligently ensuring clients receive the highest level of customer service from all areas of the organisation.
· To progress quotations with customers to verify that our proposals has interpreted their requirement correctly, to ascertain if our proposal is acceptable and to ensure that the company is in the best possible position to win any potential business.
· Follow up quotations in a timely manner to secure profitable orders.
· To review customer requirements, make competent technical evaluations of the customer's request and relevant specifications. Complete and review the quote
alerting the General Manager and/or Managing Director to any no standard requirements that may impact Hurst Scientific prior to passing the quote to the Customer.
· Provide ongoing education and training to continually improve the skills of staff, awareness and knowledge of quality issues and practices.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience:
· Previous Sales experience
· Knowledge of Pathology Products
Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with inventory software
- Good organizational & time management skills
- Current Police Clearance
- Current 'Full' Driver's License
- Own Transport
- Professional and Well Groomed
- Ability to work under pressure, Prioritise and Multitask
Safety and Quality:
· Understand and comply with all Company Policies, Integrated Management System (IMS) Documentation and Systems
· Work in a safe manner and comply with all legislative requirements
· Comply with the requirements of all lawful instructions
· Actively participate in health and safety matters
