APS6 Interactive Producer

The primary purpose of the Interactive Producer is to be the creative force that can get on the tools as well as managing the end-to-end project translating the National Museum's stories for a digital world. This involves acting as a bridge between curatorial experts and technical teams, shaping narrative concepts into compelling interactive installations, audio-visual content, and online experiences. As a strategic innovator, they are responsible for envisioning how emerging technologies can be used to tell Australia's stories in new and impactful ways, ensuring the Museum remains relevant and engaging for future generations.
Key accountabilities- Lead the conceptualisation and development of innovative digital experiences for exhibitions, transforming ideas into engaging, audience-focused realities.
- Have the technical skills to create prototypes, conceptual mock-ups, 3D spatial renders and present ideas through imagery.
- Steer the end-to-end production and delivery of rich media content, including sophisticated audio soundscapes, video narratives, and interactive applications.
- Guide and inspire a talented team of creative content producers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from user research and interface design to rigorous quality assurance, ensuring every digital product is seamless, intuitive, and impactful.
- Build and manage relationships with developers, designers, and production houses to bring digital experiences to life.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, actively identifying and championing new opportunities for digital storytelling within the Museum.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products on schedule and within scope.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WH&S) by actively supporting a positive safety culture, following the Museum's WHS policies and procedures, and complying with reasonable instructions to ensure alignment with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
