About the Company

Cell Therapies Pty Ltd (CTPL) is a commercial Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) located within the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. We specialise in the development and delivery of cell and gene therapies and have more than 20 years' experience in this area.

The growth of CTPL will continue through our commitment to supporting both Australian and international research and development activities, alongside delivery of commercial contracts to provide these highly personalised therapies to patients in Australia and the region.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Supply Chain Assistant to support the seamless flow of critical materials for our Cell and Gene therapy manufacturing. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with teams across Production, Quality Control and Projects to prepare and organise internal transfers, perform sanitation requirements of critical materials prior to facility entry, receive new deliveries, perform inspection and releasing stock while updating inventory systems and completing GMP documentation.

It's a fast-paced, detail-oriented role where your contributions play a key role in us manufacturing life saving productions. If you're organised, collaborative, and keen to learn this might be the perfect role for you

This is a part-time position (3 days per week) located at our state-of-the-art Melbourne facility, located at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre on the edge of the CBD in Australia's most dynamic biomedical precinct. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and get directly involved in the newest advanced therapies that can make a serious impact on patient's lives.

Duties

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods in line with GMP protocols
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through SAP and WMS systems
  • Coordinate internal movement and distribution of materials
  • Perform GMP sanitation requirements for critical materials prior to facility entry
  • Maintain inventory stock levels and perform stock counts to avoid out of stock
  • Communicate with vendors and freight providers to track orders and resolve issues
  • Assist with purchasing activities by placing purchase orders with suppliers and following up on order/ETA status
  • Adhere to established SOPs and contribute to process improvements
  • Provide support across supply chain functions to avoid delays in production
  • Participate in workplace safety and compliance activities

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience in material handling or a similar operational role
  • Team player with a positive, agile and proactive attitude
  • Competent in using systems for data entry and documentation
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a regulated environment

Desirable:

  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a GMP, biotech, pharmaceutical or highly regulated setting (i.e. FMCG)

This is a part-time onsite only position (3 days per week), with Tuesdays and Thursdays required, and the third day flexible. To support training and onboarding, we have a preference for the role to be worked full-time (five days per week) during the first month.

This is a great opportunity for a driven, collaborative and curious professional to join an organisation with purpose, passion for excellence and the aspiration to be a global leader in cell and gene therapy.

At CTPL we are passionate about the work we do but equally passionate about our people. We want everyone to bring their true self to work. We support the wellbeing of our staff through mindfulness sessions, continuous improvement activities and wellness days.
