- Salary – $129,464 pa - $142,665 pa plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Are you a strategic communicator who can turn complex ideas into clear, engaging messages? Join DCJ's Corporate Communications team to lead internal communications that build connection and alignment across the department. You'll develop executive messaging, deliver impactful campaigns, advise senior stakeholders, and improve internal channels—including DCJ Live events. This role suits a proactive leader with strong project management skills, stakeholder expertise, and a passion for innovation.
What you'll do
As part of the Corporate Communications team, you will lead the development and delivery of high-impact internal communications that support DCJ-wide engagement and strategic alignment, including:
- developing and delivering of Secretary and/or Executive communications that will be shared in DCJ-wide communications.
- designing and implementing internal communication campaigns, including communication strategy and delivery.
- providing strategic communications advice and support to key DCJ stakeholders.
- enhancing DCJ internal channels, including the new DCJ Live online events.
You'll be joining the Corporate Communications team within DCJ's Communications Branch — a collaborative, high-performing group focused on creativity, strategy, and impact.
We work closely with senior leaders to deliver communications that connect, inform, and inspire. The team values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, and supports professional growth while making a real difference to our people and communities.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a dynamic and strategic communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage and assess risk confidently and can lead complex projects from concept to completion. You should be comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and able to translate detailed, technical information into clear, engaging messages. A collaborative leader with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement will excel in this role.
To succeed, you will bring:
- Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies, preferably within government or complex industries.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experiencing providing communications advice to senior leaders.
- Exceptional project management ability — juggling priorities, timelines, and budgets with ease.
- Leadership qualities to guide, train, and inspire a communications team.
- A proactive, innovative mindset eager to explore new communication channels and technologies.
