Occupational Therapist

Osborne Park, Western Australia Louden Group Full time $100,000 - $120,000 per year

The work that matters

Every week, you'll provide the breakthrough moment someone needs to reclaim their independence. Whether it's helping a participant master daily living skills, recommending home modifications that change their life, or delivering therapy that builds genuine confidence – this is real and meaningful clinical work with measurable impact.

At Louden Group, we're not trying to be the biggest NDIS therapy practice in Perth. We're focused on being the absolute best at what we do: delivering evidence-based occupational therapy where quality, collaboration, and participant outcomes come first.

Let's be direct about what this isn't

This role is not right if you:

  • Are planning to start your own competing practice within 2-3 years
  • Want complete autonomy without accountability
  • Unable to adhere to and follow our team protocols
  • Expect us to fund expensive certifications unrelated to our service focus
  • View employment primarily as a learning opportunity before moving on
  • Are mainly motivated by maximising billable hours over quality care

We're building a practice where therapists stay and grow for years, not months. If that doesn't align with your career plans, we're not the right fit for each other – and that's okay and thanks for reading this far.

Who thrives at Louden Group

Our best team members share these qualities:

Clinical excellence and genuine care

  • You're committed to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
  • You genuinely care about participant outcomes, not just completing assessments
  • You stay current with best practices in occupational therapy
  • You take pride in doing thorough work, not just fast work

Team collaboration over solo autonomy

  • You value peer consultation and learning from colleagues
  • You're comfortable with practice protocols and standardised approaches
  • You see feedback as professional development, not personal criticism
  • You contribute to team culture and support other therapists

Long-term commitment and accountability

  • You want to build deep expertise within an established organisation
  • You follow through on commitments and meet deadlines consistently
  • You're accountable for the quality of your assessments and reports
  • You see your career as deepening your expertise, not just moving to the next opportunity

Cultural awareness and respect

  • You work effectively with NDIS participants from many diverse backgrounds
  • You're respectful of different communication styles and cultural norms
  • You understand that our multicultural team is a strength

What you'll actually do

Your core responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) and prepare detailed, evidence-based reports
  • Deliver occupational therapy across home, school, community, and clinic settings
  • Prescribe and recommend assistive technology and home modifications
  • Provide therapy interventions focused on daily living skills, independence, and participant goals
  • Collaborate weekly with our multidisciplinary team on complex cases
  • Maintain accurate & consistent documentation and meet NDIS compliance requirements
  • Use technology effectively to streamline workflow and improve service delivery

What success looks like in your first 6 months:

  • Build and maintain a caseload of 15-20 NDIS participants
  • Complete quality assessments using our standardised protocols
  • Achieve at least 85%+ participant satisfaction through excellent care
  • Become a valued contributor to our team culture
  • Demonstrate follow-through and accountability consistently

What we offer (the honest version)

Compensation: Let's discuss what truly matters first

Our compensation philosophy is straightforward: We pay at the upper end of Perth's NDIS therapy market for team members who demonstrate the right attitude, clinical excellence, and genuine commitment.

When we determine your package, here's what matters most to us:

  1. Your attitude and values alignment (This is 60% of our decision and non-negotiable)
  2. Your clinical expertise and experience
  3. Your qualifications and proven track record

What this means for you: If you're the right cultural fit – someone who genuinely cares about participant outcomes, values team collaboration, and wants to build something meaningful long-term – you'll find our total compensation package exceeds market expectations.

We'll discuss specific figures during your interview once we've established mutual fit. What we can promise: the right person won't be disappointed.

For us, a person's attitude will always rate above experience and qualifications. Get the attitude right, and the compensation reflects our commitment to keeping you.

Professional development:

  • We provide a fair & reasonable annual PD budget for training aligned with our practice specialisations
  • Clinical supervision and peer consultation included
  • Additional merit-based funding available for loyal & high performers in strategic development areas
  • Some training investments include standard payback agreements for staff who leave within 24 months

Career pathway: Clear progression from Therapist → Senior Therapist → Clinical Lead based on clinical excellence, team contribution, and demonstrated commitment (not just time served)

Work environment:

  • Collaborative team culture with regular peer consultation
  • Hybrid clinic/mobile delivery model based on participant needs
  • Strong administrative support so you can focus on therapy
  • Company laptop, phone, and comprehensive admin assistance
  • 4 weeks annual leave

The reality: You'll work within a respected and established practice with clear protocols and expectations. You'll have autonomy in your clinical decision-making but accountability for outcomes. You'll be supported but also challenged to deliver quality work consistently.

About Louden Group

We're an NDIS therapy practice in Osborne Park, Perth, working exclusively with NDIS participants. We've quickly built our reputation for thorough assessments, quality therapy delivery, and genuine care for the people we serve.

We're at an exciting transition point – moving from "startup survival mode" to building something sustainable and excellent. We're developing specialised expertise, implementing new systems to reduce admin burden, and creating a practice where therapists genuinely want to build long-term careers.

We're not perfect, but we're totally committed to continuous improvement and doing right by both our participants and our team.

Our requirements (non-negotiables)

You must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration (or eligible for registration)
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain immediately)
  • Willingness to use technology and AI tools to streamline workflow

Strongly preferred:

  • Experience with NDIS participants and understanding of NDIS framework
  • Experience with Functional Capacity Assessments
  • Comfort working across diverse settings (home, school, community, clinic)

Immediate disqualifiers:

  • Therapists who have no experience with AI tools or are unwilling to incorporate technology into their workflow
  • Candidates who cannot commit to at least 2 years with the practice
  • Those with a pattern of staying less than 18 months at multiple positions

Our hiring process (transparency builds trust)

Step 1: Phone screen (up to 20 minutes) We'll discuss role fit, your career goals, and mutual expectations. This is a two-way conversation.

Step 2: In-person interview Meet the team, tour our clinic, and have an in-depth conversation about the role. We'll ask behavioural questions about teamwork, commitment, and clinical approach.

Step 3: Reference checks We'll contact your references focusing on tenure, team contribution, and work quality.

Step 4: Final decision We'll make a decision quickly after the processing of your application.

How to apply

Submit your resume and a cover letter addressing:

  1. What specifically attracts you to Louden Group? (Not just any OT position – why us?)
  2. Describe your ideal 3-5 year career trajectory. Where do you see yourself professionally?
  3. Tell us about a time you chose to stay in a role despite having other opportunities. What kept you there?
  4. How do you approach team collaboration versus independent practice?
  5. What are your long term career goals in this profession?

Your cover letter matters. Generic applications will not be considered. We want to understand your motivations, career goals, and we want to know whether we're genuinely aligned.

Email applications to:

For a confidential discussion, call: Ask for Phoebe or Chris

Application timeline:

  • Applications close: 17/11/2025
  • Shortlisted candidates contacted within 5 business days of closing
  • Interviews conducted: Within 2 weeks
  • Start date: Negotiable based on notice period

One final note

We know this ad reads differently than most job postings. That's intentional. We're not trying to attract everyone – we're trying to find the right people who will thrive here and stay for years.

If you're looking for a stepping stone to your own practice: we're not it.

If you're looking for unlimited autonomy with zero accountability: we're not it.

If you're building a career within a collaborative, quality-focused practice where your contributions genuinely matter: let's talk.
