Contract HSEQ Advisor – Civil (FIFO Role)

Location: FIFO from Perth to Karratha

Roster: 2:1

Employment Type: Casual

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join AMT Civils on a FIFO basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and supporting the delivery of a major civil construction project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor HSEQ management systems across site operations.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legislative and company standards.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to project personnel to promote safety awareness and best practice.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain HSEQ documentation, reports, and records.
  • Act as a point of contact for HSEQ matters between site teams, management, and clients.
  • Contribute to continual improvement of safety and quality systems.
Requirements
  • A minimum 3-4 years previous experience as an HSEQ Advisor (or similar) in civil construction projects.
  • Ability to start immediately.
  • FIFO experience highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV (or higher) in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Incident investigation (ICAM or similar) experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture across diverse teams.
  • Current driver's licence and the ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing.
