About the role

As a Dental Assistant/Receptionist at Barlow Dental Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. This is a casual position hours per week) based in our clinic in Warrnambool, VIC 3280. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clinical tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and checking in patients, managing the reception area and answering phone inquiries
  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during procedures, ensuring a clean and organised clinical environment
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Processing patient records, scheduling appointments and managing patient information
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of dental supplies
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience
  • processing HICAPS claims and processing payments

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Dental Receptionist or in a similar healthcare role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using dental-specific software and computer systems
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and professional clinical environment
  • A passion for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the dental team
  • good time management skills and an eagerness to learn
  • Minimum age of 17 years or older is required for this position
