Care & Leisure Support Coordinator

Mayflower Brighton is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic and caring Care and Leisure Support Coordinator to join our team and work alongside our clinical team to ensure residents maximise their leisure and lifestyle options to enhance their quality of life.
As an integral member of Mayflower Aged Care Team, the Care and Leisure Support Coordinator is responsible for managing and organizing leisure programs and community activities including designing, developing, and implementing programs, managing schedules, and encouraging active participation from residents.
Leading a team of leisure and care support assistants, the role will provide one on one care support to the residents that will enhance resident's recreation options and quality of life.
About the role:
Develop a lifestyle plan in consultation with resident and families and review regularly.
Develop, implement, and evaluate lifestyle programs.
Communicate and coordinate activities using various communication channels.
Coordinate events including marketing of events, catering, bookings.
Regularly assess resident engagement in lifestyle programs and report to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate additional services included additional service for residents.
One on one engagement with residents for individualised activities.
Assisting with meals under supervision.
Support the residents with personal needs including emotional, community and spiritual services/preferences/requirements.
Efficiently manage and implement programs and activities within the allocated budget.
The successful candidate will have:
2 years' experience in a similar role.
Understanding and experience engaging with the elderly from diverse backgrounds, cultures and beliefs including people that live with a disability.
Experience with rostering & supervision.
Strong communication skills verbal and written.
Sound computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Exceptional multi-tasking skills with an ability to prioritise.
Proficient report writing skills.
