Our continued growth has created an opportunity for a qualified & skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and work on exciting, technically challenging projects across Australia and overseas.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the end-to-end delivery of industrial and process-based electrical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design and documentation across a variety of projects. You will work closely with sub-contractors, vendors, and internal project teams to deliver accurate drawings and  specifications. The role reports directly to the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage electrical design documentation
  • Draft and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD (essential)
  • Develop and maintain cable schedules
  • Interpret and apply client specifications and standards
  • Coordinate activities with sub-contractors and site teams
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers for equipment and services
  • Support FATs and on-site commissioning
  • Handle technical documentation and ensure deliverables meet project timelines
  • Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and QA/QC procedures
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients throughout project lifecycle

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD – electrical drafting is essential
  • Ability to read and develop cable schedules, wiring diagrams, motor start circuits and control systems
  • Familiarity with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems
  • Hazardous Area Electrical design knowledge (AS/NZS 60079)
  • Exposure to instrumentation or packaged systems
