Electronics Trades Worker – Diesel Test Equipment Specialist

Hi Tech Diesel is a leading diesel specialist workshop providing expert service, repair, and diagnostics for fuel injection and engine systems. We are seeking a skilled Electronics Trades Worker to join our team, with a focus on the repair and maintenance of specialist diesel test equipment.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing critical electronic test equipment used in our workshop, including but not limited to:
- Hartridge AVM2 Test Bench
- Bosch 815, 708, and DCI 700 Test Benches
Your work will ensure that our precision testing equipment is always operating at peak performance, supporting our technicians in delivering accurate diagnostics and high-quality repairs for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Examine and test electronic machines, equipment, and instruments to diagnose faults.
- Repair, adjust, and replace defective parts and wiring as required.
- Reassemble, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on diesel electronic test benches and control systems.
- Apply knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical principles in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Provide advice and guidance to workshop staff on correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.
- AQF Certificate III (with two years on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant trade, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years' experience in electronics repair, preferably with test benches, automotive diagnostic equipment, or industrial control systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with diesel test equipment highly regarded.
