About the role:
Our Group teams enable the broader business to perform - providing strategic, financial, legal, people and governance expertise. With roles across Australia, Singapore and the US, we're critical partners to the business and help shape Ampol's future.

We are currently recruiting a Group Reporting Manager to lead the delivery of the Ampol Group's external financial reporting. This role will provide technical accounting expertise across the Group – both in relation to existing and new business activities, whilst also taking a continuous improvement approach and uplifting processes or ways of working that create efficiencies. Building strong cross-functional relationships across the enterprise, this role will become a trusted advisor to the business in the critical area of reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Group's external reporting and ensure accuracy, compliance, and insight in every disclosure including interim and full year financial statement and ASX reporting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes, systems, and controls across enterprise.
- Manage end-to-end external audit relationships and deliver on all statutory reporting obligations.
- Lead drafting and review of cyclical Board and Audit Committee reports
- Provision of technical accounting advice across the Ampol Group in relation to programs & projects
- Implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure
- Inspire and develop a high-performing financial reporting team, fostering excellence and collaboration
- Assist the Sustainability team and wider stakeholders with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards
About you:
- Expertise and deep understanding of financial reporting in ASX listed environments
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of external reporting requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading an external reporting & Group reporting function in complex enterprise organisations
- Proven experience as trusted advisor in interpretation of financial results, commercial business drivers and KPIs
- Experience managing external audit processes and relationships with auditors
- Systems thinking approach with SAP/ERP user knowledge
- Proven track record of developing constructive relationships across enterprise
- Continuous improvement mindset
