We are recruiting for a permanent fulltime Maintenance Tradespersonto join our maintenance team, to be based at our Northgate Head Office and Production facility on a Monday- Friday afternoon shift engagement of 1pm- 9pm.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this appointment will provide reliable and efficient maintenance support in this 'hands on role' for our fixed plant production equipment, and associated services at both our Northgate manufacturing plant and office facilities, as well as our Banyo Distribution facility. There will also be elements of ensuring site compliance, stores and stock handling, preventative maintenance routines and purchasing functions to this versatile and important role for our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to maintenance requests and equipment failure according to priorities and importance to optimise plant usage, and complete general facilities maintenance as required
  • Ensure unplanned line stoppages are minimised through early intervention and problem solving
  • Perform planned maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks in accordance with Australian and Industry standards, GMP and OH&S procedures and practices
  • Identify and implement improvements to plant maintenance programs for all production equipment and associated services
  • Identify, assess and control workplace hazards and risks, achieve Occupational Health and Safety performance outcomes
  • Action requests for unplanned improvements in accord with agreed timetables
  • Support line operators with machine set up, running adjustments, advice and guidance
  • Maintain change parts and engineering spares
  • Support trades, contractors and operations as required

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in FMCG, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or other relevant exposure
  • working in a GMP manufacturing environment- highly regarded
  • Mechanical trade certificate
  • Any electrical or pneumatic experience or licence – highly regarded
  • Self motivated and bias to action for autonomous role
