About the Role
Tewksbury Commercial is seeking an experienced
Facilities Manager
to join our highly regarded team. Based in Toowong, you will be responsible for the facilities management, maintenance and compliance of our commercial property portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring our assets are presented to the highest standard, compliant with all statutory requirements, and delivering an exceptional experience for tenants and owners.
This is a full-time, permanent position Monday – Friday (8.30am – 5pm).

- Trade, engineering, or facilities management qualifications desirable.
- Current Queensland driver's licence essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Building Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of commercial properties, ensuring all facilities are fully operational and well-presented.
- Develop and manage preventative and reactive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, service providers, and trades to deliver timely and cost-effective outcomes.
- Ensure essential building services (air conditioning, lifts, fire systems, security, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are regularly serviced and compliant.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including workplace health & safety, fire safety, and building codes.
- Maintain accurate compliance registers, safety documentation, and risk assessments.
- Implement emergency response procedures and coordinate building evacuation drills.
- Monitor environmental and sustainability initiatives across the portfolio.
3. Tenant & Stakeholder Liaison
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants on all facilities-related matters.
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests, maintenance issues, and building concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and property owners.
4. Financial & Contract Management
- Assist with preparation and management of facilities budgets and capital works programs.
- Manage service contracts, negotiate supplier agreements, and monitor contractor performance.
- Approve invoices and ensure all works are delivered within budget and to required standards.
5. Capital Works & Projects
- Plan and oversee refurbishment, upgrade, and capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate project timelines, contractor engagement, and ensure minimal tenant disruption.
- Provide reporting to senior management and owners on project status and outcomes.
Reporting & Structure
The Facilities Manager reports directly to the
Senior Asset Manager
and works closely with the Property Management team to ensure operational excellence across the portfolio.
