We have an excellent opportunity for you as a full-time Detail Surveyor in NSW to join our team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A Detail Surveyor at TSS you responsible for Project Management, Client Management, Time management and Quality assurance.

This role will empower you to develop in the surveying profession and you will be supported by an experienced senior management team.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Detail & Topographic Surveyor to join our growing team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work on diverse projects while utilising both field surveying expertise and technical drafting capabilities.

  • Key Responsibilities


  • • Conduct detailed topographic surveys using modern surveying equipment and techniques

  • • Perform boundary surveys, feature surveys, and construction setouts
  • • Prepare accurate survey plans, drawings, and reports using CAD software
  • • Process and analyse survey data with precision and attention to detail
  • • Collaborate with project teams including engineers, planners, and construction professionals
  • • Maintain surveying equipment and ensure calibration standards are met

  • • Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian surveying standards and regulations

  • Highly Desirable


  • • Transport for NSW (TfNSW) project experience - knowledge of TfNSW standards, procedures, and requirements

  • • Experience with engineering detail surveying projects
  • • Knowledge of NSW surveying regulations and cadastral systems
  • • Proficiency in data processing software (Topcon/Magnet Office)

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must


• Relevant surveying qualifications (Diploma/Degree in Surveying or equivalent)


• Minimum 3+ years of experience in detail and topographic surveying


• Proficiency in survey drafting and CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)


• Experience with modern surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners)


• Strong mathematical and analytical skills


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy


• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
