OPENING FOR A SURVEY FIELD HAND IN PROGRESSIVE SYDNEY BASED LAND SURVEY COMPANY

About the role

YSCO Geomatics is seeking a part-time or casual Survey Field Hand to join our team in Artarmon, NSW. In this role, you will provide vital support to our land surveying operations, assisting our professional surveyors in the field to capture accurate measurements and data critical to construction projects. The role may become full-time in the new year for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the operation of survey equipment such as total stations and GPS devices to collect field data
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of survey equipment
  • Record field measurements and observations accurately
  • Provide general labour support for survey crews
  • Collaborate with the survey team to ensure the timely and efficient collection of survey data
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Experience working as a land surveyor's assistant or in a similar field role
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with the survey team
  • A keen interest in land surveying
  • A valid driver's licence
  • A valid White Card
  • The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
