What the Mechanical Fitter will do each day
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fixed plant equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and head drums.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty machine components swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and basic welding tasks as required.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns across client sites such as quarries, flour mills, and batching plants.
- Assist with shutdown maintenance projects during seasonal periods.
- Travel to various client locations with company vehicle, finishing typically by 2pm with overtime opportunities.
