A leading scrap metal processing facility specializing in the collection, sorting, and recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Responsibilities

  • Sorting and separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals by type and grade
  • Operating forklifts and other machinery to move, load, and unload materials safely
  • Assisting with the weighing and recording of incoming and outgoing scrap metal

  • Maintaining a clean and organized yard, including sweeping, debris removal, and general upkeep

  • Identifying and removing hazardous or non-recyclable materials from scrap loads

  • Following site safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times
  • Assisting customers and delivery drivers with unloading and proper placement of materials
  • Performing basic maintenance checks on equipment and reporting any issues to supervisors

Your Profile

A physically fit, hands-on individual who thrives in outdoor, fast-paced environments. The right candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and capable of performing repetitive manual tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in scrap metal, construction, or warehousing is beneficial, and holding a current forklift ticket is a strong advantage. The role suits someone who is a team player, takes pride in hard work, and is comfortable working around heavy machinery and industrial materials.

Candidates must have full working rights in Australia and be available to work five days a week.
