We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Planner
to join our growing project delivery team. This position plays a pivotal role in leading the planning and scheduling functions across major construction and infrastructure projects — from feasibility and design through to commissioning and handover.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and on-site delivery teams to ensure that each stage of the project lifecycle is strategically planned, resource-optimised, and executed on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and maintain comprehensive project schedules covering
feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning stages
. - Create and manage detailed programs using
Primavera P6
and
Microsoft Project
, ensuring all critical path activities and milestones are accurately captured. - Integrate planning inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines into a unified master schedule.
- Lead the planning for
approvals, design deliverables, procurement sequencing, and commissioning readiness
. - Track progress, analyse variances, and provide insights to project managers for informed decision-making.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and timeline forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support tender planning and bid submissions through robust methodology and resource planning.
- Identify potential schedule risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
About You
You are a results-driven professional with a blend of technical knowledge and hands-on construction experience.
- Minimum 9 years' experience
in construction planning, scheduling, or project controls. - Proven ability to manage schedules across
feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
phases. - Strong proficiency in
Primavera P6
and
Microsoft Project
. - Deep understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, and site methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in
Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management
preferred. - Previous exposure to large-scale
infrastructure, civil, energy, or building
projects will be highly regarded.
