About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Casual Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This role supports both breakfast and dinner operations across dapl Restaurant, Lobby Bar and In-Room Dining, with opportunities for cross-training in Conference & Events based on business needs.

We offer structured rosters with no split shifts, and successful candidates may be placed in either the morning team or the afternoon/evening team depending on operational requirements, experience and suitability.

Typical shift patterns include:

  • Morning: 5:00am – 1:00/2:00pm
  • Afternoon/Evening: 1:00/2:00pm – 10:30pm
What We're Looking For
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards it)
  • Previous experience in hotel or quality restaurant kitchens, ideally 4–5 star
  • Competence in both buffet and à la carte preparation
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, positive and professional team player
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
