About the role

This Bookkeeper role at Grow Accounting offers the perfect opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional to join a dynamic and growing accounting practice. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of small business clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management for clients
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports and statements
  • Processing payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
  • Assisting with the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Providing excellent customer service and acting as the primary point of contact for client queries
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to identify areas for process improvement and increased efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within a public accounting practice or small business environment that looks after multiple entities/structures and different clients
  • Strong proficiency in Xero is a requirement and experience in accounting software MYOB and/or QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Xero add-ins such as Stripe, Various stock management etc. would be highly regarded.
  • Timeline focused with the ability to prioritise
