VSG have worked closely with this global ICT leader for over a decade, and are now assisting them to bolster their Canberra team with mission-focused, high-calibre RHEL Engineers for an upcoming program of work across Federal Government.

Ideally you will possess:

  • Advanced working knowledge of Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the following infrastructure related technologies:
  • Red Hat Satellite
  • Ansible/ Red Hat Ansible for Automation
  • Virtualistion technologies
  • Authentication services eg; IAM/PAM
  • NV1 Security Clearance and/or above
  • Red Hat (RHCSA, RCHA, etc) or Linux (LFCS, LFCE, etc) certifications, but if not, don't stress, we can organise these
  • Demonstrated experience working with Red Hat platforms, middleware, cloud computing, application development, storage or automation products.
  • History of working with state or federal government or previous consulting experience is desirable

About the Role:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain RHEL infrastructure to meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for RHEL related issues
  • Implement and manage system monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
  • Serve as a subject-matter-expert for all technical requirements
  • Providing detailed solutions to technical and professional problems
  • Leading and guiding junior team members
  • Planning, designing, maintaining and supporting ICT systems and projects
  • Delivering strategic guidance to ICT infrastructure projects
  • Managing ICT systems throughout their lifecycle
  • Investigating, diagnose, testing and repair systems, hardware, software and infrastructure
  • Overseeing system integrity and reliability
