Our Client

Joblin Partners is proud to be representing a key client in the resources sector, operating a small-to-mid-sized open-cut truck shovel operation in Queensland. With production ramping up and a major capital program underway, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site GM, the Commercial Manager will lead the site's finance, procurement, and stores functions, overseeing a capable and growing team. You'll manage major capital approvals, cost control, supplier relationships, and operational commercial strategy, while playing a critical role in delivering a $100m+ expansion program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site-based commercial, finance, and procurement functions,
  • Manage capital projects and discretionary spend (~$30m),
  • Oversee monthly reporting, forecasting, and cost reviews,
  • Build strong supplier relationships and accountability,
  • Support strategic decision-making in a lean, empowered team environment.

About You

  • Strong mining operations and commercial experience,
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior decision-making,
  • Skilled in capital project evaluation and cost optimisation,
  • Comfortable working with evolving systems and processes.
