Senior Evaluation Capacity Building Officer

About the role

The Senior Evaluation Capacity Building Officer is responsible for designing and delivering professional learning material and resources to strengthen evaluation capacity and the use of evidence across the department. This involves a mix of resource development, workshop facilitation, eLearning design, coaching, consultation and other support strategies for evaluative practice. The Senior Evaluation Capacity Building Officer may also contribute directly to evaluation projects.

About you

  • Confident and capable to facilitate adult learning, including the design and delivery of resources and templates, online and in-person workshops, group training sessions, and individual consultations.
  • Confident and capable to consult and work alongside diverse stakeholders with varying priorities, expectations, viewpoints and interests.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience in an evaluation or research setting, using a range of evaluation methods and tools.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education (video, 1:24).
