Join our Administrative Officer Team

Join Southern Adelaide Local Health Network at The Jamie Larcombe Centre and contribute to South Australia's largest public health system. This full-time, short-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support essential healthcare services in Adelaide's eastern metropolitan area.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Regional Administrative Manager this role provides an effective, efficient and confidential reception and clerical support service to the department. 

Duties for the role will include:

  • Providing an informative, prompt and confidential reception/administration service for all clients (patients, medical) including telephone bookings for appointments, general enquiries
  • Typing confidential medical and administrative correspondence.
  • Notifying patients of their bookings and appointments by telephone or correspondence as required.

About you:

  • First dot point – something about the type of person/ relates to the area / specific need.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all patients, both face to face and over the phone.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills suitable for liaison with public and staff within a multi-disciplinary workplace.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to cope with a high volume of work, prioritise workloads and meet stringent timeframes.
