An opportunity exists for an experienced Fire Service Technician to join a reputable and growing fire services company. We are seeking a professional and reliable technician who takes pride in their work, values safety and efficiency, and has a genuine passion for the fire protection industry.

Working across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern NSW regions, you will provide essential fire maintenance services to a range of clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently but also values being part of a collaborative team. For the right person, there is long-term potential for growth, ongoing professional development and financial rewards.

About the Role

  • Service and test fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire doors, exit and emergency lighting, and smoke alarms
  • Install, repair, and maintain fire protection equipment to Australian Standards
  • Complete service records and documentation using Uptick
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Plan efficient daily schedules and maintain strong attention to safety and quality

Licensing and Qualifications

We welcome applicants who meet one of the following pathways:

Pathway 1:

  • Holds an Electrical Contractor Licence and is willing to obtain a QBCC Fire Protection – Portables Licence
  • Pay range: $60–$75 per hour, depending on experience

Pathway 2:

  • Holds both current QBCC Fire Protection Licences:

  • Fire Protection – Electrical Stream (Inspect & Test – Emergency Lighting)

  • Fire Protection – Portables Stream (Install & Maintain)
Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in the fire protection industry
  • A professional, efficient approach and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • A safety-first mindset with a focus on protecting clients and their assets
  • Confidence in communicating with clients and building positive relationships
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A commitment to compliance and Australian Standards
