**About the role**
As a Remediation Technician at Cleopatra Cleaning and Restoration, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional cleaning and restoration services to our valued clients. This full-time position is based in Tweed Heads South, NSW and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team, contributing to the overall success of the company.
**What you'll be doing**
Each day is varied and hands-on, keeping you engaged and making a real impact. Tasks can include:
- Inspecting buildings and structures such as homes, hotels, schools, and commercial properties for water intrusion, mould like growth, and fire
- related damage
- Perform detailed field inspections and conduct testing of building materials (e.g. drywall, timber, insulation) to assess moisture content, fungal contamination, and structural integrity, following industry-standard methods and documenting results accurately.
- Oversee Insurance Make-safes and conduct mould remediation according to S520 standards for insurance, council, schools, commercial, or private properties.
- Assessing the condition of restoration equipment to ensure operational compliance with regulatory and industry standards and adhering to strict safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment
- Provide comprehensive technical reports and diagrams for builders and insurers to assist in the design and execution of remedial works, including photographic evidence, environmental readings, and restoration scope or works
- Collaborating with team members to coordinate and execute complex projects
- Overseeing a wide range of cleaning and restoration tasks, including but not limited to carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, and water damage restoration
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing client concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Preparing, interpreting, inspecting and revising technical documentation including restoration scopes, moisture readings, floor plans, drying standards, and equipment layout maps.
- Installing, operating, monitoring, and modifying restoration equipment, such as air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration devices, and negative air machines to remediate water, mould, and fire damage in line with IICRC S500 and S520 protocols.
- Estimating quantities and costs of materials and equipment required for restoration and remediation projects, including building materials, drying equipment, containment supplies, and PPE, while preparing accurate scopes for insurance and client approval.
**What we're looking for**
- A can-do attitude with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning and restoration role, or experience on construction sites or in a related field
- IICRC qualifications in WRT, AMRT, or FSRT (advantageous but not required)
- A valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- A willingness to work flexible hours

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
