The Opportunity
ClearRoute is one of the fastest-growing global platform engineering consultancies. In just three years, we've scaled to 150+ people across five geographies, helping some of the world's leading enterprises, including Banking & Financial Services — transform how they build, run, and scale technology.
We're now looking for a Principal Client Partner to join our senior commercial team in Sydney. This is a high-impact role, working directly with our most strategic enterprise clients, building trusted relationships with CxOs and senior technology leaders, and driving new growth opportunities.
If you have a strong track record of selling consulting and technology services into large enterprises, can navigate boardrooms as comfortably as engineering teams, and are passionate about the future of AI and modern platform engineering, this is your chance to help shape the next chapter of ClearRoute's growth story.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and own executive-level relationships with new and existing enterprise clients.
- Lead business development from prospecting through to close, with accountability for revenue growth and client satisfaction.
- Identify and convert cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across ClearRoute's core services: Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Engineering Effectiveness.
- Partner with hyper scalers (AWS, GCP etc) and strategic technology partners to create joint go-to-market opportunities.
- Shape and execute sales strategies that differentiate ClearRoute in a competitive consulting market.
- Work closely with delivery leaders to ensure engagements deliver measurable value, while continuously feeding market insights back into our propositions.
- Draft and negotiate proposals, SoWs, RFIs/RFPs, and ensure contractual agreements support long-term partnerships.
- Consistently forecast pipeline with accuracy and transparency, setting clear expectations with clients and internal teams.
- Act as a ClearRoute ambassador, showcasing client successes through case studies, events, and thought leadership.
Requirements
- Proven track record of selling and delivering consulting and technology services into enterprise accounts.
- Strong network across Australia's enterprise organisations (ideally in financial services, media & telecoms, or utilities).
- Ability to engage credibly at both C-suite and engineering team levels.
- Commercially astute, resilient, and motivated by building long-term client partnerships.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
- Process-driven, disciplined in sales execution, and accustomed to quota-driven roles.
- Passion for technology and the future of AI, automation, and platform engineering.
Working at ClearRoute
- Join a high-growth global platform engineering consultancy scaling rapidly across the UK, Europe, US, and APAC.
- Work with some of the most prominent enterprise brands.
- Opportunity to shape the future in an inclusive diverse environment, where everyone feels a sense of belonging and can thrive as their true selves.
- Supportive community focused on learning and professional growth for all.
- Profit Sharing: As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for our profit-sharing program, which rewards your contributions to the company's success.
- Flexible Work Arrangements: We understand the importance of work-life balance. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
- Private Health Insurance: Upon completing probation, ClearRoute will provide a subsidy amount per year for eligible employees.
