We are currently supporting a Tier 1 mining operation in the delivery of key projects across a complex and diverse portfolio. They're seeking an intermediate - senior level Project Controls/ Planning Specialist to join a collaborative team on-site. This is an exciting FIFO opportunity with travel covered from Townsville, Brisbane, or Darwin, offering the chance to contribute to high-impact work in a rewarding environment. You will be working across some 2-3 major projects that are expected to last 2+ years. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Utilizing Primavera P6 for project planning and scheduling
  • Overseeing cost control processes and financial reporting
  • Handling contract management tasks, including raising and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and contract variations
  • Notifying relevant stakeholders of non-compliance or project issues
  • Triggering processes to investigate, rectify, and prevent future issues
  • Working within a split project portfolio alongside a team of 40 professionals

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience using Primavera P6
  • Strong background in cost control and project financials
  • Experience managing NCRs, contract variations, and compliance processes
  • Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience on major projects or within a portfolio setting
