Site Manager

Are you a Site Manager seeking a new and exciting change?

Village is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Site Manager to join our friendly housing team.  This role is full time and reports to our Construction Manager.

Village Building Co have been creating communities where people live, work, laugh, play and spend quality time together since 1988. We're looking forward to the next 30 years of connecting people.

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership and Coordination

Manage and supervise all site-based trades and workers, ensuring daily activities align with project plans and the direction provided by the Construction Manager.

Hands-On Site Work

Undertake practical site tasks as needed to meet project objectives, including assisting with set-out and construction activities.

Procurement and Resource Management

Coordinate the procurement, help develop scope of works and timely delivery of materials and resources through approved company channels and suppliers to support site operations.

Program and Quality Oversight

Develop construction program. Monitor site progress against time, cost, and quality benchmarks. Report variations and ensure work is completed to the required standards.

Environmental  Management

In consultation with the Construction Manager, oversee the maintenance of site verges, landscaping, and plantings, and ensure environmental measures are implemented effectively.

Safety and Compliance

Promote a culture of safety on site by modelling expected behaviours, participating in safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and company systems.

Technology and Reporting

Maintain a high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite, to support documentation, reporting, and program tracking
