Production Labourer / CNC Machine Operator – Aluminium Boat Manufacturing

Location: Coomera, Gold Coast

Stessl & Horizon Aluminium Boats is a long-established, family-owned boat manufacturer based in Coomera. We produce a wide range of high-quality aluminium boats and have recently expanded into a new, purpose-built factory in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

We're currently seeking a Production Labourer / CNC Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity to work in the marine industry with a company that values skill, reliability, and teamwork.


About the Role

This full-time position involves hands-on work in our aluminium boat production line. You'll be responsible for assisting with CNC cutting, fabrication, and general production duties across a variety of boat models (3m–7.5m).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and assist with CNC cutting machines and related equipment
  • Cut aluminium sheets and extrusions to length using provided cut lists
  • Assist in assembly, tacking, and fitting of aluminium boats
  • Handle, lift, and bend aluminium components safely
  • Maintain production quality and meet daily output targets
  • Follow WHS procedures and contribute to a clean, safe workshop

This is a physically demanding role that requires manual lifting and attention to detail.


About You

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or production
  • CNC machine operation experience (preferred, but training provided)
  • Confident using hand and power tools
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Physically fit and willing to work as part of a small, dedicated team

Full on-the-job training is provided for the successful applicant.


Hours & Benefits

  • Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm
  • Overtime available (may be required)
  • Competitive hourly rate – based on experience
