About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Yardperson / Marine Travel Lift Operator with experience in vessel handling, lifting and hard-standing to join our dynamic team in our Production facility.

This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills, collaborate with a supportive team and grow your career. This is a dynamic, often fast paced role that may have unexpected changes and challenges that require the need to pivot as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Movement of customer and production boats and components onsite utilizing Forklift, Boat Transporter, Marine Travel Lift.
  • Travel Lift slipping operations launch, retrieval and cradle swaps.
  • Hard standing of boats.
  • Transport material and equipment to and from designated locations within the facility.
  • General maintenance of plant and equipment as instructed.
  • General yard facilities housekeeping as instructed.
  • Physical outdoor work including manual handling lifting / carrying.
  • Ensure that Riviera Workplace Health and Safety Policies are adhered.

About You

  • Current QLD forklift licence.
  • Marine industry experience and/or shipyard experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous experience with 100T vessel transporters preferred but not essential.
  • Flexible, with the natural ability to multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform duties with a strong focus on safe work practices and damage prevention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, to a tight schedule.
  • Adaptable approach to handle unexpected challenges, and pivot as required.
