Australian Char has a great foundation in Australia, building a reputable brand, with a manufacturing facility in Morwell, specialising in high-quality BBQ products for both the domestic and international markets.

We are looking for a highly motivated casual production line operator with regular hours, to actively work as part of a team in achieving the overall objectives and targets of the production facility.

Role

In your role as a production line operator, you will be provided all the training and exposure necessary to successfully work across various areas from packaging, mixing, filling, and machine operation. You will be responsible for setting up and operating the packaging line, measuring and mixing raw materials for the production line, inspecting and ensuring the quality of finished goods, as well as labeling and packing finished goods.

You will be provided training and exposure to (but not limited to)

  • Machine Operation (Various machinery)
  • Use of hand and air tools
  • Exposure to each stage of the production - mixing, packing and packaging processes as well as general plant operation
  • Manual handling
  • Dispatch preparation and loading of finished goods

Requirements

The successful candidate will need:

  • Current Drivers license and own reliable transportation (compulsory)
  • Current High-Risk forklift license (compulsory)
  • HR Truck license and experience on Front Loaded (highly regarded)
  • Experience working in a factory/ manufacturing process environment
  • Understanding of Workplace OH&S in a factory/manufacturing environment
  • Physically fit and able to work autonomously when required
  • A keen eye for detail to be able to perform accurate quality checks and measurements
