Synergie Australia is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation, spray painting, and applying protective coatings to various industrial equipment and structures. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site.
Our client, located in the Northern Territory, offers a lifestyle-friendly 2:1 FIFO roster on an ongoing basis for the right candidate. Chartered flights are provided from Darwin or Cairns, with interstate candidates responsible for their travel to one of these departure points. Onsite meals and accommodation are included. A site-specific pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol screening are required prior to mobilization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as neededApply industrial coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushesMix and match paints and coatings according to specificationsInspect surfaces for defects and ensure a smooth, even finishOperate and maintain painting equipment safelyFollow workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and ventilationWork independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlinesMaintain a clean and organized work environmentQualifications
Current manual driver's license, and EWP + 11m high risk work licenseConfined space entry and working heights certification (within the last 3 years)Previous experience in industrial painting or a similar roleKnowledge of different painting techniques, coatings, and equipmentAbility to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPhysical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights and confined spacesWHS (Workplace Health & Safety) knowledge and complianceWhy Join Synergie Australia?
