About us

AusCam Engineering is a CNC , Manual and Fabrication Workshop based in Welshpool, WA.

The company has experienced rapid growth over the past two years and we have invested in three new CNC machines as well as new Tool Management Systems, updated EdgeCam Programming Software and we have further exciting opportunities to expand and invest further.

We are currently seeking to add to our team as part of our strategic plan for success in 2025 and beyond. We are looking to fill a CNC Lathe position but experience with CNC Mills, Manual Machining and Fabrication is also welcome. This role would suit someone looking for a culture of high performing people that enjoy contributing through their openness to collaborate and share ideas with pride in the quality of their machined components.

Qualifications & experience

  • Trade qualified machinist
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a High Mix, Low Volume (Jobbing) workshop environment
  • EdgeCam & SolidEdge experience is advantageous
  • Fanuc control experience is advantageous
  • Manual Machining experience is a bonus
  • Fabrication experience is a bonus

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Programming, Setting and Machining on CNC Lathes
  • Good understanding of tool selection and manufacturing methods including work holding
  • Team Player who wants to contribute to the growth of the company
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to high quality output
