Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and menu specifications

  • Assisting the Chef in menu planning and developing daily specials


•Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.

  • Monitoring and managing stock levels for ingredients and supplies

  • Ensuring kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance

  • Assisting with staff training and supervising junior kitchen staff when required

  • Managing food preparation timelines to ensure efficient service during peak hours

  • Handling special dietary requirements and customer requests

  • Maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).portion control

What you'll bring:

  • AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

  • At least 1 year's experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant (Chinese cuisine preferred)

  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions precisely

  • Good time management skills and ability to handle pressure during busy periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
