Cheema Farms is a family-owned poultry-business based in Beaudesert (QLD), 1 hour from Brisbane. We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Farm Manager to manage one of our poultry farms. The poultry operation comprises 2 farms with 10 sheds a total of 400,000 birds.

  1. 5 sheds are 4 year old and other 5 are very well maintained built in 2006. Farm is in excellent condition
  2. The successful candidate will be compensated with an attractive salary package, including a company vehicle for work use and a well-maintained 7 bedroom house.
  3. Responsibilities of this position will include:
  4. Lead by example in a team environment, setting clear expectations and overseeing the operations of the poultry farms.
  5. Manage a team of 3 other workers
  6. Ensure the care and feeding of the birds, including animal welfare/husbandry, manage day-to-day operations smoothly.
  7. Ventilation system monitoring and management of SKOV & Rotem.
  8. Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations and adhering to Company, RSPCA and client standards.
  9. Maintaining bio-security and quarantine to the highest standards.
  10. Maintain up-to-date records of production, inventory, and farm activities.
  11. General repairs & maintenance and operating machinery.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience in poultry management and a comprehensive understanding of poultry husbandry.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare standards, biosecurity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis.
  • Trustworthy and professional person who can be relied upon and who can work in a team environment.
  • Experience in planning, organising, prioritising, and coordinating work in a changing environment.
