An opportunity has become available in their finance team for a Team Leader - Senior Accounts Officer to join their team on a full time basis in their Fortitude Valley head office.

This role will be responsible for the supervision and leading of a small team of finance professionals with a heavy focus placed on work related to the construction arm of their business.
This role would suit an experienced Accounts Officer looking to take the next step or an experienced leader looking for a role where they can leverage their talent to make an impact.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Receivable of a large Property Development firm. This includes the management of all payments, billing and debt recovery processes.
Your role will also involve leading a small team to ensure positive and timely outcomes and you will be a critical point of contract for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to be confident with resource management to ensure all tasks are completed and ensure compliance with financial processes and regulations.
This role will include -
- End to end management of accounts payable and receivable cycles
- Oversee reconciliations and end of month close procedures
- Preparation and analysis of management reporting
- Manage routine payment runs and supplier statements
- Ensure any financial discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
- Assist with auditing requirements
- Mentor team members to foster a culture of collaboration and growth
- Supervise work produced by the team to ensure high levels of output and operations
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder enquiries
- Management of credit applications
About You
In order to be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated, service focused individual who is willing to problem solve, work hard and be part of a supportive and collaborative team. You will also require -
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Leadership experience preferred but not essential
- Strong experience with finance softwares including MYOB
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and transactional finance
- Strong client service skills and a customer focused mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great time management skills
