Full time Educator – Follyfoot Farm by Busy Bees

Location: Fountaindale, NSW

Licensed Capacity: 106 places

Hourly Rate: $33.53 – $34.83

Availability: 30 hours per week

Required qualification: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and First AID including CPR.

Follyfoot Farm by Busy Bees is a unique early learning environment set on a picturesque rural property in Fountaindale. We're seeking enthusiastic Educators to join our vibrant team and support our mission to provide meaningful, nature-based learning experiences for children.

We seek passionate Early Childhood Educators dedicated to fostering young children's growth. You'll create nurturing, engaging learning environments, develop age-appropriate curricula, assess progress, and build strong family relationships. Ensure high-quality care and compliance with industry standards to support children's holistic development and lifelong learning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent).
  • A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
  • First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups.
  • Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.
  • Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service.
  • Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
  • Previous experience as an Educator, Assistant Educator, Childcare Assistant or similar.
