About The Opportunity*
Camden & Campbelltown Hospitals are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join and guide a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. As the Demand Management Unit Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of safe, effective, and timely care across a complex hospital system.

This essential leadership position requires a strategic thinker with strong clinical insight, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will work closely with the Executive Team and key stakeholders to influence service care decisions, optimise patient flow, and ensure appropriate transfer of care. *Where You'll Be Working*
Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

The hospitals share a close-knit, community-focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi-million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

Together, these sister hospitals ensure that the diverse needs of the community are met with excellence and innovation in healthcare.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise a broad range of communication skills in a variety of settings, ensuring that you are able to effectively represent nursing and midwifery, and collaborate with staff and other health professionals for the best outcomes of the service.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor performance in areas of for both individuals and teams. This includes the ability to undertake a range of performance management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an operational plan for the nursing and midwifery service and coordinate the process of organisational change. This may include the ability to develop staffing profiles appropriate to meet service needs and within budgetary parameters, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage access and flow performance across a complex acute care hospital setting.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
