About the Role: The Internal Sales Engineer plays a crucial part in driving the growth and success of our company by supporting our external sales team to respond to customer requests and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. By providing high-quality quotations and technical responses, you will ensure the satisfaction of our customers. Your technical expertise in Bermad Valve & Meter products, along with your strong customer service ethos, will be essential to thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support customer requests by producing quotations in line with company systems and customer requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of Bermad products and applications to provide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
- Ensure clean handover of customer orders and support the Customer Service and Operations Teams for timely execution.
- Work with the external sales team and Bermad senior management to maximize margin on sales and profitability.
- Provide customer feedback to identify market trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Recommend changes, improvements, and opportunities for products, service, and policy based on customer feedback.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication (both oral and written) and customer engagement skills.
- Team player and leader, able to work effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
- High level of motivation to learn new things, self-starter, independent, and self-driven.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical aptitude and understanding of water dynamics, flow, pressure, and performance.
- Proficiency in using sales and CRM software, as well as other technical tools for sales, reporting, and analysis.
- Minimum of five years' sales experience in the water industry, irrigation, waterworks, building & construction, fire protection, and/or mining.
- Degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, or related field is an advantage but not essential.
