The Role:
We're seeking an experienced Workshop/Floor Leading Hand to lead our busy commercial tyre workshop. You will oversee daily operations alongside the manager, manage a team of skilled tyre technicians, develop staff skills, and ensure our workshop runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead from the front in a hands-on role.

  • Problem-solving sales, including internal and driveway sales, with accurate input for processing at the point of sale.

  • Supervise and coordinate all workshop activities, including tyre fitting, repairs, and servicing.

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of tyre technicians, upholding high standards of workmanship.

  • Manage workflow and prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines.

  • Maintain health and safety standards across the workshop.

  • Keep accurate records of job completion, inventory, and customer interactions.

  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and management to ensure excellent service.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and staff training.

What We're Looking For:

  • An upbeat personality, with a can-do attitude, always looking to solve problems.

  • Proven experience in a workshop or tyre service environment, ideally within the commercial sector.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.

  • Hands-on experience with tyre fitting equipment and maintenance.

  • Current driver's license and a commitment to safety.
